The VTIO invites comment on its draft tree climbing guidelines.

Please take the time to read the document, and give us your criticism; let us know what you think.  The more input we receive from the tree climbers of Victoria, the more useful and accurate we can make this.  Please bear in mind that the guidelines are still in a draft stage, and are not necessarily to be taken as the views of the VTIO, or of any of the committee.

Please also take the time to read the guidelines given below, published by WorkSafe Victoria in 2001.  These are a much wider set of guidelines, covering the hazards associated with working with trees, and methods to reduce such risks.
