Congratulations to the four Victorian climbers who represented Australia and the Asia-Pacific region in the recent ITCC. They did a great job against the best in the world, reaffirming the extremely high standard of climbing that is practiced here in Victoria.
A belated congratulations to all the climbers who took part in the 2009 ISAAC & Asia-Pacific Tree Climbing Championship in Newcastle, and to all the officials who made it such a success. Below are the results for the Mens’ and Womens’ preliminaries, the Head-to-Head Footlock, and the Masters’ Challenge.
The annual general meeting for the Victorian Tree Industry Organisation will be held at NMIT-Fairfield on Tuesday 1st September, 2009 at 6pm.
The agenda for the night includes a talk from Tom Greenwood on ‘Dealing with fire damaged trees’
Pizza & Beer will be on offer as food and refreshments
Annual General Meeting – including election of office bearers and committee members.
We would like to see all those people at the meeting who are interested in helping the VTIO continue to provide the annual Victorian Tree Climbing Championships and Arbor Camp.

The VTIO would like to congratulate all 44 competitors, our major and general sponsors, judges, volunteers and attendees for making the 2008 Victorian Tree Climbing Championships such an enormous success. We would like to especially thank the Rural City of Wangaratta for its effort and hospitality. Geoff Riddock of council and Gerard Reynolds of Arboressence should be commended for their work on getting the event organised.
Congratulations to the A Grade Masters Champion – Richard Kenyon and to the B Grade and Womens winners – Lee Guppy and Jessica Knott.
