The general consensus from all was Goulburn Park was on of the best ever sites to hold a competition.
Thanks to Mitchell Shire for their support prior to event, Seymour Venturers and Amy S Coffee carts for feeding us on the day.
We had over 50 volunteers help out on the day and we needed every one of them to manage the 75 competitors. I’ve had lots of feedback from the competitors asking them to pass on their thanks to the white shirts. I would like to single out grant Cody who identified the park, held the initial conversation with Mitchell Shire, did lots of work setting up the events and took the position of Head Judge for the day.
Well done to six time in a row champ Barton Allen-Hall and Rebecca Barnes who added another win to her tally.
A special well done to Samantha McConnell, the inaugural winner of the Tim Broadbent Memorial Award. Tim put a lot of effort into helping develop young climbers and assist those new to the industry. This award, presented by Beaver Kindred, is a fitting way to remember Tim and remind us all that we should always think about being there for those in need.
